Arcola town hall: Scott Moe on what he thinks the feds will do regarding nitrogen fertilizer

For roughly 2.5 hours on Aug. 4, Premier Scott Moe, assisted by MLAs Daryl Harrison (Cannington) and Steven Bonk (Moosomin) took questions from the floor at a town hall meeting in Arcola. The session continued until they basically ran out of questions.

While it came up several times, this answer about the federal government’s recent movements to reduce the usage of nitrogen fertilizer sums up Moe’s and the provincial government’s thoughts on the matter. Let’s just say he has some healthy skepticism.

Nitrogen fertilizer is typically manufactured from natural gas.
