Whoa, Nelly! Refinery says they’re not ready to talk to contractors just yet regarding impending big projects

REGINA- When big companies talk about upcoming projects worth hundreds of billions of dollars, it’s perhaps understandable that vendors and contractors would want to get in on the action.

Federated Co-operatives Limited in recent months has announced $810 million carbon capture and $1 billion renewable diesel projects.

But the Co-op Refinery Complex is advising they’re not ready for those calls, just yet.

The Co-op Refinery Complex LinkedIn page posted this on Dec. 15:

“We’ve been receiving many inquiries from suppliers and contractors with regards to recent project announcements FCL has made in the Regina area. We share and understand your enthusiasm for these projects, but would ask all potential suppliers and contractors to refrain from reaching out until formal procurement processes begin. The projects are still in the preliminary stages, but rest assured, there are plans in place to engage potential contractors and suppliers as these projects evolve.”
