Breaking News: Despite Greta Thunberg’s dire warning about ending fossil fuel usage in five years, five years later, humanity has not been wiped out

Swedish environmental activist Greta Thunberg made a dire prediction on June 21, 2018. On that day she tweeted, “A top climate scientist is warning that climate change will wipe out all of humanity unless we stop using fossil fuels over the next five years.”

Bjorn Lomborg, author of ‘Best Things First’, ‘False Alarm’, and ‘Skeptical Environmentalist’ and president of the Copenhagen Consensus: smart solutions through economic prioritization, made light of Thunberg’s dire warning on Twitter on June 21, 2023. He pointed out Greta’s tweet “is now deleted.”

Previously he had tweeted on March 20, “But “fact checkers” claim this story “distorts” the truth See, Thunberg “never said the world was set to end in 2023″ — she only quoted a Harvard professor saying exactly that. Nice to have politized backers that bend over backwards.”

Lomberg added on that day, “Both AP and Snopes further claim that original article actually said something else https://snopes.com/fact-check/greta-thunberg-deleted-2018-tweet-on-humanity/… But that just makes it worse—her posted quote was misinformation. Greta Thunberg shared that the world ends in five years. That was wrong in several ways. And now deleted.”

Pipeline Online has observed that fossil fuels have not yet ceased in usage, nor has humanity been wiped out.
