A total of 22 rinks took part in the 65th Annual Weyburn Oilfield Technical Society Bonspiel held Feb. 2-3. Eleven community organizations received a total of $8,322 in donations as a result of the OTS’ efforts.
Of those groups, $1,000 went to each of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Weyburn, Weyburn Minor Football, The Family Place Weyburn Inc., Silver Seals, and Tatagwa Kids Kare, A further $500 went to each of Spirit Singers, Weyburn Junior Lacrosse, Weyburn Wrestling Club, Brokenshell Multiple 4-H Club and Laura Woodward (True Grit Award). Finally, Weyburn Junior Curling received $822.
