Top swag of the show: Bravo Target Safety hands out aspirin keychains

LLOYDMINSTER – Pipeline Online attends a fair number of trade shows and conferences each year, and a mainstay of all of these is the swag given out by exhibitors. It’s rare to see something new, but every so often, something does catch one’s eye.

The Pipeline Online award for the top new swag at the Lloydminster Heavy Oil Show this year goes to Bravo Target Safety, of Lloydminster.

While they had some of the usual swag, what was unique was tiny aluminum cylinders that act as a keychain. And inside those cylinders you would find “emergency aspirin.”

Lee Emond said, “We’re handing out fobs with aspirin in them. There’s directions on the fob or in the package as to what to do. So the event of a heart attack, take the aspirin, unscrew it, unscrew it, take the aspirin and it could save your life.”

“We wanted something that was relatable to what we do. And we’re a safety company and medic company, and so saving lives and extending lives is part of what we do, and so this little aspirin can certainly help in that event.”

Their medical manager orders them online, he said.

For someone who has a heart condition, a ready supply of aspirin can mean the difference between life and death in the event of a heart attack. And having it on your keychain could just save the day.
