Registration now open and meal tickets available for purchase
WEYBURN, SK –– The Saskatchewan Oil & Gas Show announced on April 22 that attendee registration is now officially open for its highly anticipated 20th Biennial Event, scheduled to take place from June 4-6 in Weyburn, Saskatchewan. Attendees can secure their tickets by visiting the official event website at www.oilshow.ca.
This year’s event promises an exciting lineup of activities, including keynote speeches from distinguished guests such as former prime minister Stephen J. Harper, who will be addressing attendees at the industry luncheon on Thursday, June 6. Additionally, Tyler Smith, Humboldt Broncos crash survivor and mental health advocate, will share his inspirational journey during the safety stand down breakfast on Thursday morning.
“We are honored to welcome such esteemed guests to this year’s Saskatchewan Oil & Gas Show,” said Monica Osborn, show manager. “Their insights and experiences will undoubtedly enrich the discussions surrounding the oil and gas industry.”

June 4 will feature an exhibitors golf tournament at the Weyburn Golf Club, as well as a steak or lobster banquet that evening which is open to the public but tickets must be purchased ahead of time. Note: the oil show proper will not be open on this day.
A brand new event, Outlaw Buckers and Oil Kings Match Bronc Riding, will bring the some of the best Saddle Bronc Riders and bucking stock to Southeast Saskatchewan for the first time, with $30,000 in prize money.
One of that event’s organizers, Robert Schmidt, said he wanted to bring something new to the show. “As a long-time attendee of the Oil and Gas Show, I wanted to bring something new and exciting to our community and put the Rodeo industry in the spotlight. With both Johnathan Kmita (Outlaw Buckers Rodeo Corp.Outlaw Buckers Rodeo Corp. ) and myself being heavily involved in rodeo, it seemed like the perfect fit to buck some horses at this year’s oil show.”
The riding event takes place at 4 p.m. Tickets for the Outlaw Buckers & Oil Kings Match Bronc Riding go on sale to the public on April 30.
An Outlaw Buckers and Oil Kings tailgate party exclusive to sponsors and contestants will be held from 2-4 p.m. June 4.
At 7 p.m. is the steak or lobster dinner. Tickets are available on the oilshow.ca website.
Main event
Tickets for oil show attendees are priced at $15, granting access to both days of the show, June 5 and 6. However, tickets to all meals are required, and attendees are encouraged to register early to secure their tickets and avoid sellouts.
On Wednesday, June 5, the opening ceremonies will take place at 9:45 a.m. in front of Crescent Point Place. The show opens to the public at 10 a.m.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to witness the induction of deserving recipients into the Saskatchewan Oil & Gas Hall of Fame and the Southeast Saskatchewan Legends during a luncheon on Wednesday, featuring Premier Scott Moe. Wednesday’s festivities will continue with a prime rib supper, where awards will be presented to the Saskatchewan & Southeast Saskatchewan Oil Persons for the Year, followed by a performance by comedian Kelly Taylor.
Thursday, June 6 will start with a safety stand down breakfast, with Tyler Smith. As noted above, Smith is a mental health advocate and one of the survivors of the Humboldt Broncos bus crash.
“With exhibitors coming from all over North America, this year’s show promises to be a truly exceptional experience for attendees,” added Osborn.

The Saskatchewan Oil & Gas Show is not only a celebration of the industry but also a platform for giving back to the community, organizers said in a release. As a not-for-profit organization, proceeds from the event are reinvested into enhancing future shows and supporting local initiatives.
