Rain doesn’t stop 3rd annual Estevan OTS Top Gun Trap Shoot

It might have rained cats and dogs, but it was the clay pigeons that saw the most action.

The Estevan Oilfield Technical Society held its third annual Top Gun Trap Shoot at the Estevan Wildlife Federal range, part of Woodlawn Regional Park. The event took place on a very rainy Friday, May 12.

Top shot went to Chad Froese of Estevan, with 80 out of 100 shots.

Tony Sernick, one of the organizers, said Friday morning, “We started at 9 a.m. and you can hear booming in the background. Eight more hours of booming.

It was almost a full house. A couple teams backed out, so the number was closer to 120.

“We sponsor a lot of organizations throughout the year.”

“June 2-3, OTS golf is happening in three short weeks. And then on July 8th, will be the mixed golf at Hidden Valley,” he said.
