Primec Controls has a new shop on Railway Avenue in Carlyle. It’s just in the process of getting stood up. Primec Controls
CARLYLE – One of the motivating factors behind Estevan Meter, Virden Meter and Apollo Electric amalgamating under a new name, Primec Controls, at the beginning of this year was that it made more sense when it came to expansion. And that time has come, as Primec is in the process of opening a new satellite shop in Carlyle.
Primec took possession of the building in early May, and is working towards standing up operations there towards the end of the month. That’s according to Doug Martens, president, on May 8.
He noted they have a few current workers from the area already. One is an instrumentation tech from Storthoaks, another is an electrician, and another young electrician will likely join them. Together, they’ll form a nucleus of the new satellite branch.
It’ll mean less travel time for customers in the area, and better accessibility, Martens noted.
Things are picking up at Primec’s Williston branch as well, he said.
