Oil and gas producers who have already made progress on lowering their methane emissions over the last decade say further large-scale reductions will be tougher to deliver.
Guilbeault’s oil and gas emissions cap press release, verbatim
Pipeline News is continuing its quest to ensure all Canadians know exactly what the federal government is telling us about its climate change agenda. On Nov. 4, Minister of Environment and Climate Change Steven Guilbeault released draft regulations on a cap on greenhouse gas emissions from the oil and gas sector of the economy. In the X post made on Nov. 4, Guilbeault continually refers to carbon dioxide as “pollution,” but does not refer to it as “plant food,” which it is.
