Cenovus is planning on taking two steps forward after one big step backward this year in northwest Saskatchewan, announcing plants to “improve and expand four existing thermal facilities in the region.” This comes after a blowout in May at its Rush Lake 2 facility put both Rush Lake 1 and 2 out of commission for the foreseeable future.
