Eric Cline’s Squandered: Canada’s Potash Legacy: About that royalty review … Part 2
Cline notes that the industry was not making huge profits at the time, and the government agreed to a capital cost allowance of $1.20 for every dollar of capital investment. “Perhaps it was overly generous, and I don’t claim everything I was responsible for in government was perfect. One thing I can claim is that it seemed to work,” he writes.
Brian Crossman: Finally, the Official Pipeline Online Landman Review

Basin Electric to build 1,470 megawatt natural gas power station near Williston, ND
Since electrons are agnostic to what generates them, it means that whenever SaskPower buys power from the Southwest Power Pool, of which Basin Electric is a part of, there’s a very high probability a substantial amount of those electrons will come from this power station, as opposed to wind or solar projects.

Reaching for a Million, Part 2: Making sure Saskatchewan doesn’t miss the pipeline bus
The key thing, however, is if pipeline companies like Enbridge start planning for expanded Alberta production, and Saskatchewan is not involved, we could miss the bus and find there may not be room for our incremental barrels if and when they eventually materialize. So what is Saskatchewan going to do?
Key takeaways from Trump’s energy secretary pick’s confirmation hearing

Independent Well Servicing Safety Standdown, Part 2: Decision making while driving
“That same risk tolerance we use every day in the workplace tends to go out the window when we’re driving, because we do so much of it. Like, we’re all driving all the time. We’re driving for work, we’re driving for personal life. We’re taking kids to hockey games, or grand kids, depending on your generation. You’re going out on those roads daily, all the time, and you get complacent with the risk. You get complacent with the outcomes of that risk.”
Reaching for a Million, Part 1: If Saskatchewan wants to pay for doctors and teachers, we need to drill, baby, drill
