Brian Crossman: Elections, Name Calling and Doing the Right Thing
Well kids, we have survived another two elections, so far anyway. The incumbent Saskatchewan Party pulled it off again for a fifth consecutive term and of course, Donald J. Trump will once again be the president of the country just south of us, not as a true incumbent, but he was the commander-in-chief four years ago. Brian Zinchuk: Trump won. Let’s build that pipeline, quick!
It can be done. I worked on a crew that, along with several other crews, built a pipeline from Fort St. John, B.C., to Chicago. But at the beginning of the school year, similar classes were announced for tourism, automotive and autobody. And those critics have yet to issue a peep about the horrors of hoteliers indoctrinating kids. That says something about the media critics, doesn’t it?
Jim Warren: Could maximizing Canadian oil production and exports over the medium-term help reduce CO2 emissions for the long-term?
There is a chasm of disagreement separating climate-concerned policy makers in Ottawa and supporters of the oil and gas sector on the prairies. Each side behaves like they’re playing a zero sum game. One can support the environment or oil production but not...
