Kazakhstan Ambassador D Kussainov addressed the The Saskatchewan Industrial Mining Suppliers Association (SIMSA)’s 9th annual Energy Suppliers Forum on Oct. 4. In the introduction, SIMSA executive director Eric Anderson explains how Saskatchewan and Kazahkstan have a lot in common, especially in resource development. North American Helium commissions 7th facility as two rig drilling program continues to ramp up well count
North American Helium Inc. has brought its seventh helium purification facility online at Cadillac, near Ponteix, Saskatchewan.
That was one of several announcements made on Oct. 10 by North American Helium (NAH), as well as a complementary announcement from its farm-in partner Helium Evolution made on Oct. 13.

Royal Helium successfully completes facility commissioning and announces the start-up of the Steveville helium purification facility
It was a transformative day for Royal, which drilled its first helium exploration well in southwest Saskatchewan in January, 2021. Oct. 12 was the day Royal Helium went from being a helium explorer to a helium producer. And after years of spending money in hopes an eventual return and two years, 10 months since it drilled its first well, that revenue will soon start to flow. It already has offtake agreements in place such that half of its helium production is already spoken for, and it will be used to send rockets into space.
