One of the key considerations for the development of Saskatchewan’s nascent lithium industry is how with the product, produced on the Canadian prairie, make it to market? One piece of that puzzle seems to have been solved by Arizona Lithium, which has drilled three production pads in the Torquay area.
Nova Scotia designates offshore areas for wind development in “Wind West” scheme
For context, in this release Nova Scotia is talking about up to five gigawatts of nameplate power generation. That’s 5,000 megawatts. The entire SaskPower grid has a nameplate capacity of 5,973 megawatts, although the record it has ever produced was 3,910 megawatts. Nova Scotia is effectively proposing building the equivalent of almost the entire Saskatchewan grid with wind.
