Late night theft of copper wire from Estevan Meter; reward offered

Estevan Meter had a recent theft from their facility on the east side of Estevan.

According to surveillance footage, around 2 a.m. on July 15 a vehicle entered Estevan Meter’s parking lot and pulled up to their compound, where they then cut through the fence to access and steal a large quantity of copper wire.

Doug Martens, president, said on July 28 it took them a few days to realize what had happened and then a few more to dig up the video footage. They checked with police to see it if was okay to put on social media. That happened on Thursday.

The product stolen was TK250-3C Teck Cable and TK500-3C Teck Cable with a combined value in excess of $9000.

That footage of the suspect vehicle shows a heavier truck with a light-coloured straight-body cab, clearance lights, and a darker service body or box.

Martens said they would give a $1000 cash reward for anyone with a tip that leads to an arrest and/or recover of the stolen goods.
