On Wednesday, April 10, CJME/CKOM’s Evan Bray show started off with a one-two punch on the federal government’s greenhouse gas emissions cap for oil and gas production, and the related Methane 75 regulation which seeks to cut methane emissions by 75 per cent by 2030 compared to 2012 levels.
First up on the show was Minister of Justice and Attorney General Bronwyn Eyre, who was previously Minister of Energy and Resources, and has been fighting this file for many years. She announced on Monday, April 8, that the province was invoking the Saskatchewan First Act and referring this to the Economic Impact Assessment Tribunal.
