On Jan. 10, Alberta Premier Danielle Smith released a video on YouTube in which she slags federal Minister of Environment and Climate Change Steven Guilbeault and his numerous climate change policies. The most recent one is a recent “plastics registry,” which flies in the face of Alberta’s push to expand its plastics industry.
“We don’t need to destroy our economy to create a better future,” she said.

Doing a better job of tracking and recycling plastics is absolutely necessary. It's what Canadians expect.
FACT: the proposed plastic registry supports provinces in keeping plastic companies accountable for their waste.
