The Pipeline Online Podcast is hosted by Brian Zinchuk and Bronwyn Eyre

Sometimes, when you’re a one man band, it’s hard to find time to play the trumpet while you’re also playing the tuba. And such, it has taken much longer than it should have to get the Pipeline Online Podcast connected with Spotify in such a way that included the video. But now, finally, I’ve got that figured out and spent the long weekend posting the back catalog.
You might wonder why anyone would bother? I fell in love with podcasts when I got my iPod Nano back in 2008, if you can believe. I was repairing the fence on our house in North Battleford for sale so that we could move to Estevan. And it was then I found out that the back catalog of many podcasts can be a treasure trove of knowledge. I poured through This Week in Photography and This Week in Tech as I painted those fence boards (which decided to fall down just before we needed to put the house up for sale.) In more recent years, podcasts like:
- Triggernometry
- Joe Rogan Experience
- Energy Realities Podcast
- Unauthorized History of the Pacific War
- Diary of a CEO
- John Anderson: Conversations
- History Undone
- The Fighter Pilot Podcast
- Jordan B. Peterson
- The Saad Truth with Dr. Saad
- The Nemeth Report
- Shawn Ryan Show
- Global Warning with Ryan McBeth
… and more fill my days as opposed to TV (who watches that anymore?). I generally don’t cut the grass, wash dishes, fold laundry or go for a drive without one of those playing, with the occasional audiobook thrown in. Together, they’ve dramatically expanded the intellectual capacity of this glorifed former ditch digger.

So with all that in mind, here’s your opportunity to catch up on what’s been happening in the Saskatchewan energy sector since Bronwyn Eyre convinced me we needed to launch this thing back in January, 2025. (When a former energy minister asks if you want to do a podcast, would you have said no?)
While some of it might be dated, most of it is very much still applicable, especially the several podcasts this past spring and summer concerning nuclear power development. We’ve had the top dogs from Cameco and CANDU, oil CEOs, premiers, cabinet ministers, entrepreneurs and much more. The episodes on Saskatchewan’s coal revival – Ep. 2, 12, 24 in particular, are really significant as they dig into the most significant energy decision this province has made in a decade (Premier Moe agrees with that assessment, in Ep. 24). And those nuclear ones, Ep. 16, 18, 29, 30, 31 provide significant insight into the next major energy decisions this government will make for the coming decades.
In all of this, you’ll find much more depth on the Saskatchewan energy sector than all the other Saskatchewan media combined. We try to generally go live every two weeks, usually at noon on Mondays, live on X, Facebook and YouTube. However, the schedule is fluid because we need to accomodate the schedules of the very smart people we’ve been able to bring onto the show. The recording is then posted on Pipeline Online and these podcast services.
So please like and follow the podcast, and leave a comment, too. Especially in the early days, adding followers makes a big difference. You can find it on Spotify here, by clicking the icon on the top right:
