The Outlaw Buckers & Oil Kings Match Bronc Riding are back for 2025, presented by the Saskatchewan Oil and Gas Show. The event takes place at the Weyburn Exhibition Grounds on June 3.
The event starts with a tailgate party sponsored by Fast Trucking at 4p.m. The main event kicks off at 6 p.m. The half-time show is Morgan Klaiber.
Jonathan Kmita, one of the organizers who will be one of the rough stock providers told Pipeline Online that the event is sponsored by the Saskatchewan Oil and Gas Show. While the oil show takes place every second year, with the next one planned for 2026, it was important to make this riding event an annual occurrence so that it can maintain its place on the riding schedule. And since rodeos dominate the weekends on that schedule and the oil show takes place mid-week, that’s why it’s being held on a Tuesday.
There will be 30 riders taking part. Rough stock is provided by the Calgary Stampede, C5 Rodeo and Weyburn’s own Outlaw Buckers, owned by Kmita.
Last year over 2000 people attended. Tickets are available online for $30 plus tax at this link. Tickets at the door are $40 plus tax. Children 15 and under are free if accompanied y an adult (but they will need a free ticket).
