Impending snowmageddon postpones Wednesday’s Canadian School of Hydrocarbon Measurement Saskatchewan School in Estevan

With up to six inches of snow expected to wallop Estevan Monday night into Tuesday, the organizers of the Canadian School of Hydrocarbon Measurement Saskatchewan School had a call to make – do they postpone the Wednesday event, or go ahead?

The answer: postpone, for safety’s sake. They didn’t know if anyone would be able to make it, as Tuesday would be a travel day for many participants.

“This is not a cancellation, but a postponement,” said Doug Martens, President & CEO of Primec Controls Canada and the Saskatchewan Committee chairperson, on Monday evening.

The event will take place, but when won’t be decided until Wednesday, when another organizational meeting will take place. Updates will be sent to participants as soon as possible.

The CSHM website notes, “The objective of the school, alongside the supporting associations and the operational and manufacturing entities within the petroleum and natural gas sector, is to offer educational guidance in technical domains to individuals associated with the industry.”
