Saskatchewan Premier Scott Moe and Alberta Premier Danielle Smith join energy advocate Deidra Garyk on stage at the 2024 Lloydminster Heavy Oil Show. The in-depth conversation covers a wide variety of energy topics, from regulation to multilateral well incentives to energy security. There’s also discussion of reviving major pipeline projects like Keystone XL and Northern Gateway, and how that would help the heavy oil and oilsands industries. And there’s even talk about the importance of reliability above all else when it comes to power generation, something wind and solar does not provide.

There are several stories to come breaking out what was discussed here and during the press conference.
