Saskatchewan Premier Scott Moe responded to the passing in recent days of Bill C-59, which includes essentially a gag law against the energy industry talking about doing good by the environment.
Moe posted on various social media on June 22, “The NDP Trudeau coalition has launched a censorship campaign against energy companies – the very companies who power nearly everything in our daily lives.
“Bill C-59 sends the wrong message. We should be proud of Canada’s industries and all that they do for the environment, sustainability, and energy security, and not be silenced by a federal gag-order preventing anyone from sharing that story with the world.
“We are currently considering all options to fight back against Bill C-59, including under the Saskatchewan First Act.
“Our government remains committed to telling the world our story on a strong, sustainable Saskatchewan.”

Alberta Premier Danielle Smith posted a video on June 21 of that province’s Minister of Environment and Protected Areas Rebecca Schulz, a video which pulls no punches in calling out “eco radical views”:
Watch @rebeccakschulz explain Ottawa's newest censorship bill C-59 and how it is creating an echo chamber where their eco-radical views are never opposed or challenged.
Call your Senators and MPs and tell them to stand up for Canadians and abolish this undemocratic gag order 👇 pic.twitter.com/gG7A9V0iIS

Editor’s note: There is no way in hell Pipeline Online will be censored in this manner. I did not wear an air force officer’s reservist’s uniform for seven years to be gagged by my own federal government. I see your gag law, Ottawa, and raise you Sec. 2(b) of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, which states, “2 Everyone has the following fundamental freedoms:

(b) freedom of thought, belief, opinion and expression, including freedom of the press and other media of communication;
