Colorado-based Geopolitical strategist Peter Zeihan posts daily newsletters and videos on a variety of topic, from wars to geography to trade. And he talks a lot about energy.
Zeihan often describes himself as a “greenie, but one that can count.” As such, he doesn’t get invited to greenie parties.
His Monday, April 24 edition spoke about some of the jarring realities of “green energy.” Specifically, he talks about fuel, sunk costs, capital, building solar where the sun shines and wind power where the wind actually blows. He goes into inelastic demand, and the pricing of things like lithium and copper.
