Whitecap is selling off three carbon hub projects, two of which are in Saskatchewan, to Entropy, a subsidiary of Advantage Energy, which in turn has a $200 million strategic investment agreement with Brookfield Asset Management. The announcement was made June 23. This begs the question of whether or not Whitecap, which is the operator and majority owner of the Weyburn Unit since 2017, has lost faith in carbon dioxide injection
